In this special episode, attorney Sarah Riley-Howard stopped by to talk with the “Two J’s” (Mary Ellen Murphy and Sarah Leach) about the various lawsuits she’s brought against Ottawa County:
Did Howard always want to go into law? No. She was interested in journalism, too.
Who walks away from a $4 million deal? Adeline Hambley, that's who, and it was a lot more complicated than you think.
Commissioner Joe Moss still denied that the deal ever took place.
There are three lawsuits active right now in Ottawa County. Two against the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners and the other against Moss.
Hear all about them as we go as in-depth as we can.
Several commissioners have been served with subpoenas to be deposed, including former Ottawa Impact commissioners.
New depositions have been taken and Howard may even head to Washington, D.C., to be present for the deposition of former county administrator John Gibb.
Howard speaks about what will be part of the public record — eventually — from the lawsuit records to provide more information during Ottawa Impact’s majority in the board during 2023 and 2024.
Hear about how the law works, which is all about strategy.
